Orders
AI agents for order status and returns
Where is my order is most of the queue, and it spikes on campaign weeks and ship delays. Returns sit behind it because eligibility depends on the item, the date, and the policy. Agents reread the same order screen all day. This agent reads the order, says what the system shows, and starts a return or exchange only when the rules pass. Exceptions go to a person with the order already attached.
WORKFLOW

How it runs
01
Name the lookups
Status, carrier, delivery window, return window, and exchange stock. Each answer has to come from a field. If the field is empty, the agent says so.
02
Encode the return rules
Final sale, opened goods, food safety, and booking fees are explicit. The agent does not freelance a refund to calm a caller down.
03
Write the case when it cannot finish
A damaged delivery, a short ship, or a policy exception becomes a ticket with the order, the ask, and what the agent already told the customer.
04
Watch peak weeks
We review wrong statuses and returns the warehouse had to undo. Those are the failures that matter, not how many calls were contained.
Where it shows up
E-commerce where-is-my-order
Shoppers get carrier status and the delivery window on the order. Eligible returns get a label. Worn, final-sale, or high-value items wait for the desk.
Distributor and account orders
Restaurants and retailers calling about a short ship, a sub, or a delivery window get the order facts. Credits and spoilage claims go to the account manager.
Changes and cancellations
The agent reads the reservation and the change rules already on the rate. A waived fee or a goodwill credit is a person. The guest is not told a policy the system does not show.
Questions we get
Can it issue a refund?
Only for the cases you pre-approve, such as an unused label inside the window. Goodwill, chargebacks, and partial refunds stay with a person.
What if the carrier and the store disagree?
The agent reports both and opens a ticket. It does not pick the friendlier date.
Does this replace the helpdesk?
It takes the repetitive order calls and drafts. Your ticket queue still owns complaints, fraud reviews, and account takeovers.
Can it see store inventory?
If the inventory system exposes it. Otherwise the agent offers to check with the store instead of quoting a number.
